This song kind of reminds me of Christmas, waving to train conductors on a bridge next to Viewmount Park, early morning violin practice, and tobogganing past Mini-Mart; cheering for the hockey team, snow angels behind the school, and the way the garage smelled; sneaking by the Papachristos’ house, and decorations in the lobby; of soup, and almost being killed on the way to piano class; the way your eyes hurt looking at so much white when you walked out of a classroom, snowflakes on eyelashes, and a crunchy footprint; of beads, invitations for the next ba(r/t) mitzvah, and having a school made of red bricks; Alina’s cat, and the smell of rosin; of stomping, frosty breath, and winter winter winter.
